For a rocket engine development project at Purdue my team and I were tasked with determining how to instrument the rocket in order to acquire thermal data. In addition to thermocouples elsewhere in the combustion chamber, we looked at special ways of measuring temperatures in the throat region, ultimately trying to reduce multi-dimensional heating effects in order to simplify modelling.
Although we conducted a further analysis and decided not to use the design show below, the document is meant to showcase my ability to make engineering drawings.
